A very correct article. The only think I would not agree to os this:
"High concept ideas are those who have never be done".
I have once met a Hollywood professional (Oscar for the film, for the script) whom I pitched an idea, in which he immediately was interested. His first question was: Do you know if it has been done somewhere? I said I did not know. He said: I know - and he named me a american film that I have not heard of. And then hired me for develop this script.

The 6-point summary of "high concept" is the best and clearest explanation I have read anywhere of what "high concept" actually means. It's all to easy to not have a clear understanding of this elusive notion.

The brainstorming-for-concepts suggestion is a good one for most writers (especially beginners). Though experienced and refined ones may find that the technique needs to be less procedural and more tailored to individual imaginative talents to be of greatest benefit to them. (Not many fall into that category, however. And probably a debatable point even amongst those few. But, in my own case, I would say the point is true.)
