Good article Karel, and a great film that all aspiring film makers in Australia need to study. Australian films in the main are not competing for the audience of big Hollywood films, they're competing for the audience of films like Get Out. Get Out had an outstanding script, with a fantastic audacious concept behind it that people will talk about long after they leave the cinema. If you really want to compete for this audience, that's the quality of script you need to aim for.

Karel, on Blade Runner – you prefer the original, with its voice-over and tacked on happy ending, to the director's cut with no voice-over and the heart-rending final moment with the origami unicorn? Really?
