I understand that the shot was initially designed to be without the music because it places more emphasis on the shifting surroundings and accompanying sounds. But since we all know the shot so well, there is no way modern audiences aren&#039;t going notice that car.

The interrogation scene tracking shot is incredible. In various interviews etc Welles said he did that shot specifically to get the studio off his back. The scene was scheduled to take a quite a few days to shoot, then when Welles got it done in 1 day it put way ahead of schedule and the execs pretty much left him alone.]]></description>
