Really ?  In 1892 Charles-Émile Reynaud showed three different cartoons - each of them were 15 minutes long and would have had over 600 hand draw images each.

I don&#039;t know how he made them ... but I certainly hope he had some kind of plan written down.  Either that or he&#039;d get to the 598th image before realising that he forgot to set up the punchline ...
