Where some of the books I have bought since have made the whole endeavour of screenwriting feel overly daunting and confusing, Wallace’s book, as Jack pointed out, is readable, easy to follow and makes you want to dive right in. There are definitely points within that I disagree with now, but at the time this book gave me a pretty solid foundation to start from.
