As film studios increasingly live or die by whether or not they can conjure blockbusters, they turn to other mediums for fresh material (and pre-existing fan-bases). At the same time, the sophistication and mainstream appeal of gaming culture has finally begun to elevate it into its own unique artform.

Prolific game creator David Cage looks at the history of storytelling from the Greeks forward to Heavy Rain, an avante-garde gaming experience, and examines the meaning and future of stories in video games.
